My Spanish adventure — and this man’s journey during September/October — was the experience of a lifetime, covering 77 kilometres across Spain and raising $5,009 for the 2023 Walk for Wellness!
My sincere thanks to everyone — you are all so amazing for making this possible!
So, this is my last selfie as part of this year’s walk. To date, there have been 5 reposts, which has meant an additional $250 self donation to my fundraising.
AND … in the best news of all — with the walk only a few hours away in Melbourne — from a goal of $5,000 I’m currently at $4,959!
THANK YOU – EVERYONE! This has been an amazing team effort and I am grateful to the many people who have made this possible!
Stay tuned to @therealgeffjaeger on Instagram, there may be a few more surprises over there. And you can always repost my Barcelona ‘selfie’!
To everyone who is walking today — it is today now in Australia — have a fantastic walk!
Today’s walk included entry to Gaudi’s famous Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, (image above) where the light inside was designed to be filled with the beautiful blues and greens of the morning.
Matching the colours of Olivia’s Walk for Wellness so perfectly, I couldn’t help but feel it was the right place to be at that moment in time.
A week ago, my lower back decided to go into a weird spasm, which threw quite a few kilometres and holiday visits ‘out the window’. Instead, what I experienced was the love and care of the wonderful people who run Hotel Son Ametler on Mallorca, and the terrific bunch of guests who shared the experience with us, including a physio and chiro — words and wisdom really do help!
So, by the time we made it to Barcelona — albeit with some medical intervention from Jorge — I could stand up (carefully) and walk again without pain. It really brought home the difference people can make on your wellness journey.
The photo I took for this post is my attempt to share with you the wonder at what we can create and do for one another when we put our minds to it.
With Love, Light, and Gratitude — for the Grace I’ve been shown over the past week.
